Let me tell you a story…

…about how a career in learning turned into practical support for busy businesses.

I’m Jane, founder of Jessanol. I help small businesses, consultants and independent professionals get the important-but-overlooked work sorted — the documents, forms, client admin, newsletters, workbooks, course materials and practical project tasks that keep everything moving.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked with messy information, tight deadlines, complex requirements and people who need clear, useful outputs. That experience now sits at the heart of Jessanol.

For more than 20 years, I’ve been the person people come to with the messy, important stuff and ask, “Can you make this happen?”

My work has taken me through recruitment, resource management, operations, teaching and learning and development. Along the way, I’ve supported busy managers, senior leaders, small business owners, public sector teams, charities and growing SMEs.

That means I’ve seen how work really gets done — not just the tidy version on a process map.

I’ve created reports, tracked data, updated systems, trained managers, solved practical problems, built learning materials, organised information, improved processes and helped people work out the next sensible step.

That experience means I’m not easily fazed by messy tasks, half-formed ideas or business bits that don’t fit neatly into one box.

Now, through Jessanol, I help SMEs, consultants and independent professionals get practical work organised, written, built, tidied and ready to use, calmly, clearly and without making a big drama out of it.

The Name.

My company is called Jessanol. With a surname frequently misspelt: Feilden- it has Danish origins, I needed an easier business name.

I took inspiration from a truly beloved dog and Jessanol arrived.

Jane and Jess the dog.
